Your tour begins in Queenstown. Simply book a flight, or arrive by vehicle in Queenstown before the start time of 7.00am on Saturday the 6th April. You can provide your own transport or book a place in  one of our mini buses (costs) that we will have waiting for you.. Ahead 4 day stages. You will  pedal beside the shores of Lake Wakatipu into Queenstown; you will ride out of Arrowtown (New Zealand’s quaintest town)  over the Crown Range (highest public road in New Zealand)  and you will glimpse the 12400ft peak of Mt Cook (New Zealand highest mountain) as you continue your Tour to the hot pools of Tekapo. Then a three hour drive to ChCh Tuesday afternoon to join the charter flights.

On arrival in Rotorua for the final three stages, a lay day and a chance to rest and relax and get to know your cycling buddies. On your list of “to do thing”s could be a mountain bike ride on one of the famous Rotorua forest tracks, a luge ride or a tour of this amazing tourist town. After Lay day we will have mini buses (if you need them) to transfer you across the stage starts and finishes on your journey to Wellington.  You will love the King Country ride that leads you to the Iconic Chateau Tongariro second stage hill climb. The Tour continues south rolling down to Wanganui beside the magnificent River as it descends the volcanic plateau. Ahead the criterium finale in Wellington that will decide placings for the competitive and fun for the less so.

 

How much does the Tour cost?

There is an option available to you on entry fees. You can be a charity rider at $975 entry fee ( this includes a large number of inclusive specials for you  (see “ what your entry fee covers”section ) or pay $1300 entry fee (same inclusive benefits) and we will give a portion of this entry fee to one of our charities. You will qualify to be in the draw to win the Honda lead car which ever category you choose.

We have reserved 180 places for charity riders who will raise money for their charity. Minimum of $250) and we have 100 places  available for  riders wishing to take the second option. We have a strict limit of 280 riders in total.

 

What does my entry fee buy me?

  • Three celebration peleton dinners. The Hermitage,Mt Cook, The Holiday Inn (Rotorua) The Chateau Tongariro
  • Trip on the TS Earnslaw on Lake Wakatipu.
  • Gondola trip to the skyline reception hall.
  • Swim at the Tekapo Thermal pools
  • Air fares from Christchurch to Rotorua.
  • Afternoon tea Prize Giving

 

Your costs: Transport if you take the Tour Minibuses $400 for the week.

You book and pay for your own accommodation.
